Abstract

The present essay analyses some cases of euthanasia/assisted suicide that took place in the Unites States from the middle of the 1970s onwards and compares two Italian end-of-life case studies in that regard: Welby and Englaro. Whilst the former involves a person capable of understanding yet incapable of autonomously putting his will into practice, the latter deals with someone who is incapable of understanding and taking action on her own. © 2016, Universidad del Zulia.
