Abstract

Intoxication by Isoniazid is a rare situation in Argentina even though is heavily used by population diagnosed with TBC. We reported isoniazid ingestion as suicidal attempt in a nineteen year old patient, presenting refractory seizures, coma, metabolic acidosis and rhabdomyolysis. Early recognition and assistance in intensive care along with effective administration of pyridoxine concluded in successful treatment of this unusual case of intoxication. © 2016, Asociacion Espanola de Toxicologia.
