Abstract

Corrosive substance ingestion may cause gastric outlet obstruction due to the fibrotic resolution of the acute inflammatory process. Surgical management is required for most of the cases with caustic injury induced gastric outlet obstruction. We here report a 23-year-old female patient with gastric outlet obstruction after suicide attempt with corrosive substance ingestion who was treated laparoscopically. © 2015 Edizioni Minerva Medica.
