Abstract

This article describes the application of Attachment-Based Family Therapy to the treatment of a 14-year-old female adolescent presenting with clinically significant suicide ideation complicated by a history of sexual trauma. The article begins by providing an overview of the use of attachment theory to inform treatment with this population. Then, the case study is presented to illustrate clinical application. © 2016 Australian Association of Family Therapy
