Abstract

The present German debate on legally regulating assisted suicide is impeded by an undifferentiated use of the term "Sterbehilfe" for assisted suicide and euthanasia as well as in respect to medical help for relieving the sufferings of people who die. The author suggests a clearer terminology in order to avoid misunderstandings. © Schattauer 2015.
