Abstract

Rodents are mammals of the orderRodentia, characterized by a single pair of continuously growing incisors in each of the upper and lower jaws.About forty percent of all species of mammals are rodents, and they are found in vast numbers on all continents except Antartica.Rodenticides are commonly used to kill variety of rodents which cause great loss of food grains. Simple access and easy availability to these rodenticides results in their consumption. A detailed autopsy study of deaths due to rodenticides has been made, thereby studying the various factors like age, sex, manner of death, reasons for death etc. Majority were suicidal deaths, ill-healthbeing the leading reason for death among suicides. © 2015, World Informations Syndicate.
