Abstract

Art, delusion and narcissismNarcissism is constructed in the exchanges with the object and can take refuge in art or delusion. Based on the examples of Vincent Van Gogh and Antonin Artaud, the interactions between narcissism, art and delusion are considered. Contact with works of art can partly form a substitute for interpersonal exchanges. In relation to Artaud, the recourse to the passage to the suicidal act is simultaneously conceived as a despairing attempt at reconstitution and as an attack on those who remain. ©P.U.F..
