Abstract

The "Medicolegal Study of Suicidal Deaths" was carried out in the Department of Forensic Medicine, Govt. Medical College, Aurangabad, for a period of 6 months. 200 Cases were included. As all were medico-legal cases, details of these cases are available in the Department. These cases were studied and analyzed on the basis of age, sex, marital status, residence, occupation, methods and causes of suicide.

METHODS of suicide were also noted like hangings, drowning, burns, poisoning, injury, electrocution.
