Abstract

This is a case report of a 26-year-old man who committed suicide using an elaborately contrived guillotine. Because of the approximately 2 weeks postmortem interval during late summer a large maggot mass was found in and surrounding the subtotal decapitation wound. © Springer-Verlag 2012.
