Abstract

Pyrethroid insecticides are common constituents of mosquito killers that are commonly used in the society. They are also widely used in agricultural activities to control pests due to easy availability, low cost and easy to use. It remains available in most of the houses, but its misuse in suicide / homicide cases cannot be ruled out. T he present work describes the detection and identification of deltamethrin pyrethroid insecticide in biological fluids and in autopsy materials by chromogenic tests, TLC and GC analysis. © 2012 JPAFMAT.
