Abstract

A case is reported in which a woman was found dead behind a house, her left hand was missing and there was a deep cut on her wrist. The missing hand, bloodstains and suicide notes were found in the apartment. The complete constellation indicated that the woman had retained the capacity to act for a limited period of time, she had jumped out of a window and died of multiple injuries. © 2010 Springer-Verlag.
