Abstract

The analysis, from the semiotics of space, shows how the Lisbon sisters wish to build their identities with the outside world; but the horizontal borders are closed and this denial leads to death. The route is resolved, from an aerial imagination, along the vertical axis. Denying the event, Mrs. Lisbon makes senseless the manifestation of passion. © UNED.
