Abstract

Low frequency in suicidal attempt about child comparing in teenagers or adulthood is common information between scientific communities. Nevertheless, suicide in infancy arouses many emotions and several questions. When it occurs in some contexts influenced by religious convictions i.e. Islamism or Catholicism, a number of considerations produces a significant influence on attitudes and behaviours of healthcare givers, parents and other relatives. Based on a case report regarding a young woman who was 10 years of age, the authors reflect and consider previous data about epidemiologic and clinic considerations, as well as about treatment of this particularly modality of suffering expressed in childhood.
