Abstract

A rapid increase in unnatural deaths in females, especially in the first few years of their married life was observed in our society for last few decades. This drew the attention of people and forced the socio-political system to investigate and develop preventive measures1-3. As percentage of surface burn area increases, mortality also increases constantly, similarly there is decrease in mean survival period as the percentage of surface burn area increases. More than 30% surface area burned can be labeled as grievous injury & endangering the life.
