Abstract

The interest of psychopathology and literature in delusional misidentification syndromes (DMS) since Goethe's heautoscopic experience after leaving his girlfriend Friederike Brion (1771) has never stopped. The paper gives a short insight into the tradition of this very specific literary topic up to the contemporary literature. © 2008 Schattauer GmbH.
