Abstract

Several terrorist groups are continuously targeting Pakistan's military camps. A suicide bomber has killed six people at naval war college in the central city of Lahore. Western analysts have reported that the increasing influence of the US in Pakistan, is growing insurgency backed by Al-qaeda and the Taliban. The army is increasingly being targeted for creating tension in the country. The deployment of US trainers in large numbers and for longer durations is also growing terrorist activities. It aims to help Pakistani troops in need of fundamental reorientation to deal effectively with the insurgency. The growing number of attacks has also forced the government to organize reorientation, which includes acceptance of insurgency-related equipment.
