Abstract

Three case-sketches published in 1999 by the president of many years of an international psychotherapeutic association are cited, which clearly result in a blaming of victims: of a girl, younger than ten years, sexually abused by its father; of a boy displaced in a Nazi-KZ; of a patient sexually abused by her therapist and thus driven into suicide. The historical source of such a model of therapy is traced out, current difficulties of debating this subject among experts are described. An open, critical discussion of problematic models of psychotherapy beyond the borders of single psychotherapeutic schools, the development of some sort of basic rules for psychotherapy is suggested.
