Abstract

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the most common disabling chronic central nervous system disease in young adults. It has a variable and unpredictable course and since it has been described in the 19 th century, especially by Charcot and his pupils, it's well known that mental changes are common in MS. In this article, we reviewed the psychiatric aspects of multiple sclerosis based on the current literature. © Universitätsverlag Ulm GmbH 2007.
