Abstract

The notion of bipolar spectrum was introduced by Klerman in 1980. It designates the group of disorders that include mood variations. It was included in the classification as defined by Pinto and Akiskal in 1987. The authors examine the incidence of these disorders on patients followed in public hospitals and in private practice. © 2007.
