Abstract

Our article proposes to illustrate acting out in situations of clinical and thymic decompensation. This acting out includes characteristics of psychopathy at the structural level of the personality. A review of the size and dimensions of the prison shows how difficult it may be to take care of arrested patients weakened by their lack of freedom. The review of a few clinical situations will present the suffering, the moral pain and the appearance in prisons of phenomenon such as major psychiatric disorders. A description is then given of how the therapeutic link process is obtained with patients who present disorders before arrest and with patients who do not but who suffer from disorders after being imprisoned. © 2006 Elsevier Masson SAS.
