Abstract

Within the death certificate we find a lot of information regarding the person who commits suicide; this makes the death certificate an important tool in suicide research. Yet these data may be sometimes inaccurate (as the present paper demonstrates). Therefore it is of utmost importance to correlate the data comprised in the death certificate with those obtained by using other investigative methods. © 2007 Romanian Society of Legal Medicine.
