Abstract

Inpatient treatment of youth with eating disorders at BC's Children's Hospital has undergone several changes in the last 2 years, resulting in increased patient, staff, and family satisfaction. New strategies being used include thorough pre-care interviews, Meal Support Therapy, the Responsibility Level System, and a step-out option. Modified versions of the strategies may be applied to treating eating disorders in the community health care setting.
