Abstract

Mother's suicide has particularly important aftermath in children. We present four cases of psycho-analysing patients whom mother committed suicide when they were adults. Beyond violence of volunteer death, suicide is only the ending act of multiple attempts linked to mother's mental pathology. The adult recognizes that he was many times the witness of mother's suicide attempts and that it was the consequence of her chronical depression. Patient's troubles of these patients concerns conscious and inconscious guilt, fear of suicide for himself, feeling of being sterile, violence against beloved persons because of anxiety of loss or attachment.
