Abstract

The incident related with the suicide of journalist Garry Webb, is discussed. It is stated that his suicide in the month of December 2004 is the result of long time depression due to series of personal setbacks suffered by the journalist. 'Dark alliance' series by Garry webb in the year 1997 projected a detailed CIA links to crack-dealing gangs in Los Angeles which was criticised by several major newspapers. Webb's suicide letter for his mother was one of the four suicide letters he wrote, where he mentioned that the favorite motorcycle of his stolen that day, was the final cause for him to take this extreme step of committing suicide.
