Abstract

It can be accepted that nowadays the act of attempting to commit suicide has become an important public health issue. Suicide attempts are related to certain mental illnesses and also to sociodemographic attributes of the population. Since suicide attempts are important risk factors due to high rates of mortality, it is necessary to know the clinical and sociodemographic features related to suicide attempts and their results. Suicide attempts of both partners, are relatively rare and usually involve older married couples. In this study inpatients who have attempted to commit double suicides are presented.
