Abstract

We reported a case of multiple facial and mandibular fractures by explosion of a electric detonator of dynamite in a man who attempted suicide. He losed buccal skin and mucosa. Oral mucosa was injured severely. Radiography and computed tomography revealed comminuted fractures of the maxillary and mandibular bones. The deficit of buccal skin decreased due to granulous tissue after one month. The reconstruction of mandibular bone with vascularlized calvarial bone grafting improved misswallowing and enabled for oral intake.
