Abstract

Focussing a patient's wish to die just in the legal matter is too extreme and simple. Very little attention has been paid to the doctor-patient relationship when related to euthanasia, assisted suicide or any other matter concerning a patient's wish of dying. In this paper we make an overview through the countertransference and the dynamic aspects of euthanasia and assisted suicide within the doctor-patient relationship.
