Abstract

The dramatic and unpredictable character of adolescent's suicide is a severe trial for every therapist. The Author describes her personal experience with a girl after her suicidal attempt when she was 15 years old. In the beginning, the possibility to bear the anxiety of death was connected with infantile fantasies arising in the therapist's mind and evoked by the patient. Later on, the patient was able to find again memories of her childhood; she slowly began to create a relationship with therapist and to find the path which could possibly bring her to transformations.
