Abstract

This retrospective catamnestic study test the hypothesis that low serum cholesterol is associated with high risk of suicide. The participants were 119 patients, 41 male and 78 female with diagnosis Unipolar Depression. There were significantly negative correlations between suicide behaviour and serum cholesterol level (p<0.001 T=3.82).
