Abstract

Comparable to other neuroleptics, the QT(c)-interval may be prolonged under treatment with the atypical neuroleptic sertindole. The detailed analysis presented here revealed no increased risk of lethal complications under sertindole due to an increased QT-interval. Nevertheless, as with other neuroleptics, the ECG should be controlled before starting and under the treatment with sertindole.
