Abstract

The paper reviews opinions concerning the etiopathogenetic aspects of suicidal behaviour and suicidal action with special attention to the problem of the accomplished suicides in children and adolescents. It takes into account the proportion of social factors on the sense of the orientation of young people towards some values in prevention of suicidal behaviour and action in children and adolescents. It emphasizes the importance of the preventive influence of the pediatrician and other attending physicians and health professionals.
