Abstract

In this pragmatic article, the authors discuss the problematic increase of explosive anger in the workplace, occupations that are affected, styles of assault, categories, premonitory signs of violence and timetables of action. Two clinical cases are introduced and treatment and preventive measures suggested. Violence in hospitals and in psychiatric practice are also discussed.
