Abstract

Mohave society believes that excessive individualism results in increased suicidality. This theory was tested on a sample of 34 nations. Individualism scores of samples of resident employees in these nations were positively associated with the national suicide rates, confirming the Mohave theory. © 1997 Sage Publications, Inc.
