Abstract

OBJECTIVES: Description of the effect and treatment of subcutaneous kerosene injection in the subcutaneous tissue of the upper limb. Setting: Princess Basma Teaching Hospital, Irbid, Jordan. Subjects: Description of three cases treated during the period 1992 through 1994.

CONCLUSIONS: Kerosene injections cause severe necrotizing inflammation which needs urgent incision and debridement of the area. Skin grafting is needed to achieve skin coverage.
