Abstract

On the basis of a handful of selected examples, the paper offers an overview of the thinking on suicide expressed throughout the history of Christian theology and focusses more particularly on the positions of Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Martin Luther and Dietrich Bonhoeffer. © L'Esprit du temps.
