Abstract

Suicide is a concern and relevant subject affecting the world's population, it constitutes a serious health problem that requires special attention, particularly in teenagers because of the increase in mortality in recent decades. To provide an overview of the suicidal behavior in the world, through the knowledge of the epidemiological aspects, the suicidal physiopathology, risk factors, the psychopathological profile of suicidal teenagers, as well as the most used methods to commit suicide, are the objectives of this review.
