Abstract

The Cedar Lake Trail is the first off-street bicycle trail in the City of Minneapolis designed for commuter bicycling. Since it follows an active main line of the Burlington Northern railroad and is adjacent to Cedar Lake Park, the rail provides a chance to restore the area to its natural splendor. This trail is the result of local, regional, state and federal government and residents forming partnerships.
