Abstract

This article presents the findings of a trip generation study performed for ITE and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) in 1994 and 1995. The study investigated several different aspects of trip generation of shopping centers, including: The relationship between trip generation and a combination of several independent variables. The definition and classification of shopping centers used by ITE. The effects of the age of the data in the ITE trip generation database. The relationship between pass-by trips and a combination of several independent variables.
