Abstract

To investigate the thermal hazard of DTAC, DSC was used to test the thermal decomposition characteristics of DTAC, were studied by using DSC, and its kinetic parameters of thermal decomposition were determined by using Friedman method. The thermal decomposition behavior of DTAC under adiabatic conditions was studied by ARC. According to the caculated kinetic parameters, the relationship between the time to maximum rate(TMRad)of DTAC decomposition and temperature, and that between SADT and heat transfer coefficient were obtained. It is discovered that SADT of the 25 kg DTAC solution packed by high density polyethylene (HDPE) is 57. 3 ℃, which calls for package material with a larger heat transfer coefficient and additional care of temperature during transportation. © 2019 China Safety Science Journal.
