Abstract

In order to solve the problem of visual and realistic reconstruction of work safety accidents and improve the effect of warning education, the current research created a system for work safety accident reconstruction by utilizing 3D digital technologies including a dynamic rendering engine for 3D graphics, dynamic parametric modeling, and script-driven dynamic simulation of accident reconstruction. Based on 30 typical work safety accidents, the visual reconstruction of work safety accidents was realized by building a 3D scene database and a 3D simulation emergency drills system, to create 3D accident training materials for warning and instruction. The system was implemented in a Chinese central state-owned company to improve safety culture and staff awareness and competence. The outcome demonstrates that the system can successfully reconstruct the accident process and important elements in a visual manner. © 2022 China Safety Science Journal. All rights reserved.
