Abstract

In order to realize the whole process supervision of hazardous chemicals and collaborative management among many parties, the article studied how to realize the reliable data sharing about hazardous chemicals using the blockchain technology. The technical and administrative means in current hazardous chemicals management were analyzed, and the problems of hazardous chemicals management were discussed. The requirements of hazardous chemicals supervision were also analyzed. Based on the blockchain technology a platform system for hazardous chemicals supervision was built. The system framework was divided into four layers, including the data layer, the blockchain platform layer, the business logic processing layer, and the trusted data display layer. By storing the data of production, operation, transportation, storage, use and disposal of hazardous chemicals on blockchain, the system was conducive to the supervision of hazardous chemicals by all departments, therefore preventing the occurrence of accidents. © 2022 China Safety Science Journal.
