Abstract

This paper discussed the design scheme of a vehicle mounted rescue equipment for heavy haul railway tunnels, which aimed to solve the problem that the existing rescue equipment could not implement rescue due to the space limitation in heavy haul railway tunnels. Vehicle mounted rescue equipment for heavy haul railway tunnels took the concave bottom flat vehicle as the carrier, and incorporated the design idea of folding gantry crane. By using the concave bottom flat vehicle to lift, unfold and fold the outriggers and beams of the gantry crane, the accident vehicle and goods were lifted and translated onto the concave bottom flat vehicle and transported out of the tunnel, realizing the integration of lifting, loading, transportation and unloading. The equipment could adapt to space rescue operation in narrow tunnels, reduce rescue operation links, save manpower and material resources, improve rescue efficiency, fast recovery line opening, and avoid vehicle damage and economic losses caused by forced dragging and unloading of goods. The design of vehicle mounted rescue equipment provides a new scheme for heavy haul railway tunnel rescue equipment, and realizes the overall transportation of vehicles for subversive accidents in the tunnel. © 2022 China Safety Science Journal
