Abstract

In order to further improve the driving environment in the middle of the super-long urban underwater tunnel, based on the idea of utilizing multi-frequency and multi-scale rhythm type information, an optimization design was proposed for tunnellight environment. A driving simulation model was built by using the 3ds Max, then stimulation of subjectively equal speed and perceptible safe distance were selected as evaluation indicators. Speed perception psychophysical experiments based on E-prime software were conducted. The experimental data were analyzed. The results show that after optimizing the tunnel light environment, the driver′s speed perception ability is improved from the previous underestimation of the speed (14. 40%) to the present overestimation of the speed (15. 89%), and the reaction time is reduced from 4. 11 s to 2. 19 s, and that the driver's distance perception ability is remarkably improved, and the driving speed has no prominent influence on it. © 2019 China Safety Science Journal.
