Abstract

For the sake of reducing shift subway divers fatigue risk, the paper introduces and makes a comparison between two fatigue risk evaluation methods, the Ikeda method and the fatigue index method, and analyzes 5 factors leading to driver's fatigue. The paper compares the principles and formulas of these two methods and uses them to evaluate shift drivers fatigue level of the Beijing Subway Yanfang line. The calculation results show that for a single shift, the fatigue level obtained by using the Ikeda method differs significantly from that by using the fatigue index method, but for periodic shifts, there is no striking difference between the levels obtained by using the two, that the Ikeda method can accurately evaluate fatigue caused by each work in the shift table, and the fatigue index method is a more suitable method of evaluating fatigue caused by the long shift. © 2019 China Safety Science Journal.
