Abstract

women have been trafficked around the world since ancient time. Women were not considered human beings and denied their basic human rights. Human trafficking has become an easy business to get high economic profits, which is easier than arms and drug smuggling. Globally, 70% of women are trafficked, of which 50% are under the age of 18. Somewhere in the increasing cases of trafficking of women in India, social neglect of women, gender inequality, evil practices like dowery system have played a role. Women have been exploitation in many ways from the Vedic era to the British period, even today this exploitation has not ended, but the earlier form of exploitation has taken a dreadful form. In the form of earlier exploitation as women have been considered subservient to men even the women of royal family were also victims of exploitation at that time, women were struggling with evilpractices. Also, some new types of exploitation have registered their name in these exploitation types like trafficking of female organs and surrogacy. Most of the women are lured by the lure of high salary and rich quick and they are sent to Neighboring countries for the purpose of prostitution, domestic slave or force labour. One of the reasons for the increase in women trafficking in present times is making friends on Facebook or what's app, falling in love and getting cheated.
