Abstract

Launer describes the devastating effects of nuclear weapons and highlights the moral responsibility of medical professionals to prioritise the elimination of nuclear weapons as an urgent medical, humanitarian, and public health imperative.1 We doctors have a profound understanding of both the immediate and the long term consequences of war.
