Abstract

A research study conducted in 2000 by the Japan Industrial Safety and Health Association entitled “Cost-Effectiveness of Safety Measures – Analysis of the Current State of Corporate Safety Cost He pointed out that in order for companies to continue to invest in safety measures (prevention of work-related accidents), it is necessary to show the basis for the importance of investment and its effectiveness. . 2000 年に中央労働災害防止協会が行った調査研究「安全対策の費用対効果－企業の安全対策費の現状とその効果の分析－」は，安全対策の費用対効果比を1：2.7（事業場平均の推定値）としつつ，企業が安全（労働災害防止）対策費の持続的投入を進めていくためには費用投入の重要性の根拠とその効果を示していく必要があると指摘した．しかしながら事業場が自らそのような評価を実施するための方法や支援ツールは未だ整備されていない．そこで中央労働災害防止協会は2020 年度から3 年計画で，企業が自社の労働災害防止対策の経済的評価を事前にかつ簡便に実施できるよう支援する方法論・ツール等の整備及びその普及を行うことを目的とした調査研究事業を立ち上げた．本稿はその中間取りまとめ結果について報告するものである．
