Abstract

Discussion of the problem of ethanol-impaired driving and comments upon the studies published in the current volume of the Proceedings.

These studies illustrate the need for a continuing collection and analysis of data regarding alcohol related crashes, for the assessment of the effectiveness of countermeasures, the identification of new problems and the modification of current countermeasures and the development of new ones.
