Abstract

Traumatic injury is the leading cause of death in the US. Approximately 30% of individuals who survive a traumatic injury develop posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).1 Civilian trauma centers provide complex care for physical injuries but often lack the capabilities to diagnose and treat the resulting psychological stress.
