Abstract

When the paroling of murderers is discussed, everyone in correction has heard many times the protest that "We can't have murderers loose in the streets." This attitude puzzles those of us with experience in dealing with different types of offenders, for we have information showing that, compared with other groups, murderers are actually the best parole risks.
